Monsters For Sale

The manufacturer says they have a suggested retail price of $3.99 - or 40 cents a figure.

At least one of those figures (top left "Monsters" package) was in that  100 monsters in a tube thing from a couple of years ago. I assume it's not the only one.

Seen these at stop and shop. Not sure the price they weren't marked or labeled.

You can get those in big tubes/buckets from SCS Direct. The big ones usually contain 90-100 figures and are $20-$30 each, so the price per figure is less. They also have Robots, Astronauts, and several other sets.

I grabbed a bag of these from an eBay seller a few months ago. 14pc Zombie set for $4 w/free shipping.

ALWAYS MONSTERING...

If you need more of the zombie baggies (14 count), let me know; Dollar Tree has tons of 'em.  (They are a Greenbriar product.)

Have you seen these?  Pretty neat at just .10 each!

I have seen the Skeleton Army at Dollar General. Didn't see any of the mummies, though.

Nah, I just bought it for the different packaging. I do need to check out Dollar Tree for the Skeletons and Mummies though. Can't beat a dime a figure.

The (purple) carded mummies & skeletons are from Dollar General.  Don't forget to get yourself some sweet animal/insect skeletons while you're there!

Thanks. Now I have to find a Dollar General. The one I was familiar with went out of business.  ;D

Now I have to find a Dollar General.

I've got one, if you don't find one within "postage cost" distance.

Same.  DGs are to this area what 7-11s are to NYC.  I swear, there must be 20 of 'em within a ten mile radius.

I've got plenty of spares, as well, HorrorHunter, if you're into it.

Thanks, fellas, but I found a half dozen of 'em within 5 miles of my house when I checked the store locator on their website. This area seems to be crawlin' with 'em.  ;D

I stopped by one and grabbed some junk on the way to Wendy's and a #2 combo. Got some Skeletons, Mummies, and light-up lantern and spider. I'll hit more tomorrow, along with Dollar Tree, and grab some of those skeleton spiders and scorpions and some other $ stuff. These cheap rack toys may not be as cool as the ones from the '60s/'70s but they're in that same spirit so I still get a blast out of buying them around Halloween. As little as money is worth now it's hard to believe they can sell a blister carded set of 10 of any kind of figure these days for a buck. And, ya know, those Mummies and Skeletons aren't bad. Pretty sweet for cheap monster toys.  ;)

Yeah, I checked their website first and discovered the $1 stuff is only available in the stores. I've gotten so used to ordering everything online it seems weird to have to actually visit a store. It felt weird last year getting that Monsterville stuff in Target, too. Nice, though. Usually, for me, it's eBay, Amazon, or some other website like Severin Films or Kino Lorber. Honestly, it's hard to find much of anything I'm interested in by physically walking into a store anymore. How things have changed since the pre-internet days.
