Another neat jointed die cut decoration. And a lot less than $45

A thing of beauty!  EC Comics LIVES!!

Just a shame about that 'Power Glove' thing muddying up the arm aesthetics, sigh.
Love the Auryn talisman, though.  (Neverending Story)

Reminds me of the classic Beistle skeleton. Awesone!
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

There is no such thing.

Universal does not promote the products of their licensees.  You kinda have to find each individual manufacturer - and they are not great about having sites and product listings.  Many do not ever advertise their items.  Instead, they sell exclusively through various retail stores who don't always list these smaller items in their online catalogs.

We try to alert each other about what we find in stores or at toy shows, toy stores, etc. here at the UMA.

On the UMA homepage is a category of threads called "Modern Monster Toys".  That's your best bet for finding threads about what's new.  Some posts are gathered under "New For Halloween...", some toy lines are given individual threads.  You need to go through them all and familiarize yourself with what is there.

And, be sure to call our attention to anything cool you find on your own.

Have fun tat the UMA.  There are some great people here.  Be sure to use the SEARCH feature at the top of the Home page to located older threads about movies/toys/games that interest you.

I'll be doing exactly this in a few days!  Looking forward to checking out some of the lesser known discount chains, like Ollie's & Bargain Hunt.   8)

We'll be hitting 10-20 Goodwills, large retail stores, fleas, and discount places....I'll be sure to report back.  With pics.

One retailer that I won't be visiting, sadly....my beloved Newberry's....I'm not at all ashamed to admit that I've actually wept over the loss of this place....
:-\
(My actual childhood store, formerly a post-WWII nightclub called 'The Palm Lounge'.)

No more 'Hot Diggity Dog' combos (grilled snap skin wiener, crispy fries, ice cold orange drink from wall dispenser) for $1.59....

My mom:  "No, hon, you don't need that, you already got your Zotz & chocolate....let's go over to Woolworth and you can look at the rubber monsters..."

That place looks a lot bigger on the outside!

The lunch counter shot doesn't match the storefront; it's from another Newberry's   I couldn't find a pic of my childhood Newberry's lunch counter, but in retrospect I should have gone with this pic, it's much closer....
(Note the background shopper standing next to the  window that would face the street.)

(*at*)Monsters For Sale -- Regarding the Frank mug (or any other goodies), just let me know before Friday night.  Wifey will be going in multiple Meijers for deli/butcher/fish/produce clearance, and I already asked her to grab a few pics of any UM stuff & grab a few mugs.  Not looking to 'turn a profit', just pay for what you want + shipping.
(Heads-up:  I don't screw around with shipping -- heavy gauge tape seal, bubble wraps, etc. -- so it's probably gonna run you a few bucks to do it right.)

Same goes for any member in good standing; just PM me and I'll do my best this weekend.   ededed

I haven't seen these in claw machines.  These pictures were lifted from eBay auctions.

I know most of you won't want these.  This post is for those few who'd like to risk $1 for one of them - maybe to give them out to trick-or-treaters.

I can only hope & pray that the claw device rips these things to shreds. LOL

Somebody out there wants them.  They put out a new set every Halloween.

No Creature for Mike, though.

Ughhhh.....I'm just not into that goofy 'super deformed'/chibi/kiddie style.    I'd hate to think that the venerable Universal Monsters have been relegated to baby toys.   :(

I'd love to see some modern mono playset figures, header bag and all.  Have the Palmers or MPCs ever been rereleased?
