I hear the Banana Splits didn't play their own instruments.

No, that was the Monkees.  ;)

Creepy Crawlers & Fright Factory (Thingmaker set).
MPC & Palmer Monsters (which I wish I still had).
60's G.I. Joes & the Johnny West bunch (yes, I transformed some of them into monsters).
Mighty Kong (lost many, many years ago).
Son of Garloo.
All Dinosaur figures.
Drawing stuff.

I was very much into building sets, Lincoln Logs, American Bricks and especially the Kenner Girder and Panel sets. Then there were the plastic Army men and model kits and once I got my hands on an Aurora Frankenstein I was completely hooked on monsters.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Off the top of my head:

Soldiers
Mighty Men and Monster Maker
Remco Monsters
Shogun Warriors
Star Wars/G.I. Joe
Anything else monster related

ah yes... Mighty men and monster maker!!! My best friend had the same birthday as I did, (even the same year), and he had a daytime party, and got the mm&mm, I was so jealous, it was all I :"really" wanted!. We played with it for an hour or so, then that night, at my party, I opened mine!!!!! Never forget it.!!!

Nice collection you've got there Spidertick. It's always fun looking through set ups like that looking for stuff you played with as a kid. These two below are amongst my very favorites.

Oh man, Vertibird! Had a few variations on that theme growing up.
Also, the Colorforms Aliens occupied a lot of my early childhood adventures.
But the Mego Mad Monsters, an Aurora Pterodactyl (the head spun around!) and GI Joe tended to be the main characters in my playtime.
I also played with the earlier glow Aurora monsters as if they were action figures. I used to bring the Wolf Man or Mummy glow kit (minus the bases, of course) to bed, and lay there just staring at the hands and faces up close, dim green in the dark. (Yes, I fell asleep staring at glowing monsters; slept like a baby!).

My favorite toys growing-up (In no certain order) were:

My Marx dinosaurs

Planet of the Apes action figures

Tormenting my younger brother

As the youngest of 3 boys.........I resent the last "toy" on your list  ;D
We're all here because we're not all there.

Robert, I still have that Battlestar Galactica game, and it still works!!! One nine volt battery is all it needs.

Very cool to see it here!

Robert, I had the football and basketball game.  Seems so stone age compared to what the kids have today... lol
