What's wrong with magic? Everybody likes magic! I'm a big Penn & Teller fan, myself.

Some kids think magic is geeky - and ventriloquism is even dorkier.

Maybe bad magic and ventriloquism.  But the people who get good at it are a hell of a lot of fun.

Now accordion playing...  No, talent is talent, whatever the field of endeavor.

One of my fondest memories from when I was a kid was the Labatt's Xmas party where a magician would entertain the kids while they were eating ice cream and cookies and waiting for Santa to come up and dole out a wrapped gift for each child as that child's name was called. I've loved magicians ever since.



And I took accordion lessons for 2 1/2 school years!

No...It's hard for me to be embarrassed by something I truly love.  In fact, as I often tell my wife, "Collecting monsters is not a hobby, it is a lifestyle for me".  It started for me as a youth in the 70's collecting Famous Monsters magazines, comics, and Aurora model kits, and the love has only blossomed from there.  Paraphrasing the words of Charlton Heston, "I'll give you my monster collection when you pry or take it from my cold, dead hands!"
