Just one? I thought they were doing both of the mini-AHI toys.

I'm guessing the thin-waist GID version will be available in the San Diego Super7 Store. We shall see.

There won't be a Boodega at SDCC this year.

There are still in-store events and specials, correct?

Does that mean store exclusives that won't be available on their website?

I don't understand your question. TMK, S7 have often had some supply, however small, of their SDCC and Super7 San Diego store (a couple of Boodega nights, a Peanuts night, maybe a Transformers) 'exclusives' on their website, but I'm asking if there's even any word that there are in-store events and exclusives. I had assumed so since the store closes tonight and won't open again until 7/20, but I don't know for a fact that there will be in-store events and exclusives, though I'll be shocked if not. We know there are convention exclusives.

Something that I'll have to pay bloated eBay prices for because I don't live in San Diego.

There will not be an in store (pop up) event that involves the Universal Monsters at SDCC this year. Everything they've shown is convention only (and the leftovers generally go online shortly after SDCC).

I always miss out on the limited supply /convention leftover sales.  I live glow in the dark stuff, so my fingers are crossed that they'll have some of the glow creatures left, but I'm not holding my breath that I'll be able to get one.

I do like the look of the GITD Godzilla figures card backs but I think my money will probably go to Shogun Godzilla 8" figure pre-order later this month. I've always wanted one of those 18" Mattel figures and this is about the closest I'll get (mainly do to the vintage price and the scale of the original being so big).

Monsters For Sale

I just got an email from Super7.  They are soliciting ideas for new products.

                                      "WHAT'S YOUR HOLY GRAIL?

You know, that one collectible you just can't seem to pin down. Maybe you're on a quest to find a figure of an obscure comic book character. Or, a very specific 80's-inspired enamel pin. Perhaps the item you're in search of doesn't even exist... yet.

That's where we come in. Reply to this email and let us know what you'd like to see next from Super7. We're constantly cooking up new collectibles and your input could inspire our next creation!"

So here is your chance to try to influence a toy manufacturer.  Send them an email.

I would probably want a repro of some super rare, super expensive Creature collectible, but they probably wouldn't do that. They might do a "close to it", like the Soakies, or that beach towel. I really don't know what I'd want that's original? It would probably be something that would only get one other vote.

Knowing Super 7 its only going to be for "hey....remember the 80's" stuff they are mostly geared towards these days.

Soakies was '60s and from the '70s they did the Creature Penn Plax and AHI tributes.
