I just look at it this way too....NECA does the same thing. They will put something on their ebay store one day, and two weeks later, offer another thing I want. I was curious about it, so I went to their webpage. Turns out different shipments arrive at different days, and they have a calendar up to show what is arriving and when.

Manufacturers cannot afford to sit on products until everything that everyone wants on any specific day is all together. They would go broke. Shipping doesnt bother me.

Besides, if they released a ton of things all at once, you can be sure some would be complaining,"I can't afford to buy all this stuff at once! They need to spread out their releases!"

THIS!

There's also the matter of warehouse space and warehouse staff to balance. I understand frustration, but not the degree of it.

Just wait until all the stuff you want is announced and order it all at the same time. Voila....no extra shipping. You don't have to order it all the day its announced....do you? or am I missing something? if something sells out, then I guess that's a risk of course.

Furthermore, I am pretty sure Super7 doesn't make money off of charging shipping. So I am afraid I don't understand the beef.

I had mentioned before the biggest issue was with the convention exclusives. They sell out fast. And as for werehouse space, if they are con leftovers, that doesnt make sense since they already have the stock.  As for shipping charges, youre still paying them so who cares who is profiting off it, youre still incuring the cost. Its a manipulative tactic to get you to return to the store over and over. Many people buy more to make the shipping cost spread out better (better deal to buy 2 figures than one at the same shipping cost.)

If you guys think they should avoid releaseing everything at once to avoid complaints, then why bother to release anything at all? Somebody is going to complain about a sculpt, a likeness, whatever. Trying to avoid all complaints is unrealistic. Your very argument about waiting for everything to be instock works just as well if they release everything at once.

And yeah, I waited a week for POTA and Slayer is sold out. I wasnt aware I had to pony up the extra cash to ship it or lose my ability to complain about their tactics. The "suggestions" you guys are giving just arent applicable. It wasnt worth the extra cost to me, and I'm simply not going to play the game of rushing back to their store every week. I either get the figures, or I dont, and I have no interest in paying excessive amounts, either in shipping or aftermarket prices. All I'm saying is I'm just tired of the practice.

I'm just pointing out their tactics, and I fully expect it will be exactly the same later for this years convention exclusives. It just sours my enthusiasm. You guys do what you want, chase what you want, and spend what you want, I'm just venting and speaking my mind. I went from wanting The Worst wave 2 to deciding to just pass. Maybe I'll pick up the biker werewolf sometime but whatever. I do not like their tactics to drive traffic to their website.

I don't like convention exclusive or variants either. I have reached an age now, however, where my collection is a nice little series of doo dads to stare at....but the mania to "catch 'em all" is long gone. So I usually don't get too upset about anything companies do anymore, and just buy at a leisurely pace. When a hobby is no fun anymore, its time to quit.

Looks like S7 is going with a new fulfillment center in the near future, so perhaps some of these complaints will be made moot.

I don't know what that means. Is it good, or bad?

That remains to be seen (and depends on your complaint - of which I have none), but as I understand they're upping their minimums for wholesale and will have another company handing fulfillment.

It MIGHT mean standardized releases, in turn perhaps allowing for batch shipping and thus, again perhaps, a) cheaper shipping rates and b) more easily availabe combined shipping (for retail and whoesae customers alike).

Again, I had and have zero probem with the way they do it now. Things release when they release. It's the same with every form of goods, media, and entertainment. You used to have to drive to the store weekly (or more often) to pick up the latest this that or the other. I'm not one to take personal affront when everything I want isn't served to me in the most convenient way I can fatasize about, particularly comparatively limited items from comparatively small companies.

It'll probably be percived as good by most, which woud make it the best choice in my book, even though higher wholesale minimums are a disappointment for me personally.

I agree.

The Worst figures are some of the best original monster themed toys ever.  I would have gone nuts for them as a kid, and as an adult, I can buy them all without begging mom and dad, so it's a win-win!

I find it extremely refreshing to see original toy concepts that aren't based off any particular movie, TV show or comic.

Yeah, I’ve been waiting for the Frankenghost to hit their website to place a larger order with Garloo and Metropolis Maria and pay only one shipping fee.  Luckily they stayed in stock.  The translucent Frankenghost will display well with the translucent head  Burger King and Jack in the Box Frankies, both of which also have excellent sculpts.
