Kind of reminds me when Sideshow first got the license.  Hopefully this means the start of something boo-tiful.

I hope they don't start making $500 pieces!  :(

If they start out right out of the gate with convention exclusives, and there are a bunch of hoops to jump through to collect them,sadly... I will refrain.  :'(

It's a real turn-off to have to pay 6 times the price (from eBay) for the variations.  :P

Monsters For Sale

#97
I don't care about "Limited Editions, Chase Pieces, Silver Screen Variations, Show Exclusives, etc."  I don't need to own one of only 100 units so I can feel special.  I just want some regular toys.

And I want a definite list (with photos) of final product that has been given Universal's approved for sale - with firm release dates and vendors' names.

Am I really asking for so much?

No. No, you're not. That's what I would like too.  To able to just purchase them for regular price, at an online or brick and mortar retailer, and go home and look at them. Not do a circus act to own a set.

So long as the exclusives are just variants of the regular pieces and not something totally different, I am fine not getting them.  For example, a glow in the dark puzzle...  which is the same as the regular puzzle except it glows.  I'd be fine with that.  However, if it's a totally new figure... then we have a problem.

I don't think you'll have a problem with Super 7. I've been getting things from them for years and find them to be a great bunch with good packing and customer care. The exclusives tend to be greyscale versions or one colour prototype figures and find that the regular releases are always the best possible versions. The one thing they did do one year though was the monster house playlet that was a SDCC exclusive only. It's always keeping an eye on Earth Entertainment and Super 7's own site after the con as they generally have the con exclusives up for sale shortly after.

It does look like they have some fantastic items coming our way soon though so it should be good times to come  ;D

LordMudd

They announced Munsters in 2016, which would fit well in their Halloween release theme, and someone asked about Addams Family and they said they could not get all of the licenses they wanted, then in 2017 they talked about Addams and ignored Munsters, then they split with Funko and stopped talking about both. I would love to see Munsters including Uncle Gill, and Addams Family would have to include cousin It.

Super7 is pretty good about announcing what's going to be sold ahead of time and a number of items do make it to their site afterwards so I'm hopeful. My only concern are any limited freebies that are included with sales.
