I really hope they have a portion dedicated to the Universal Monsters at a park. I only was able to travel and go once, but in 1998 when I went I was pretty bummed that I didn't see any UM stuff other than a "Creature (1954)" poster in an "alleyway" area.

I went to Universal for the first and only time in '98 too!  I went to Florida and saw the Beetlejuice/Universal Monsters Graveyard Review.  They had posters of each monster up (basically the BK stickers), but that was it.

I went to Universal Studios in Orlando FL several times a year in the 1990s.  They had the Beetlejuice / Universal Monsters Graveyard Review show, and they also had the Monter Cafe, which had a few lifesize figures inside behind glass - I recall The Wolf Man and The Creature (also several monsters on top of the building).  Never saw any monsters walking around the park signing autographs.  They also had the Monster Makeup Show, which changed a bit over the years.  When it first opened they had a life sized very well sculpted bronze statue of the Phantom Of The Opera inside the building in front of a mirror, and when the host of the pre-show was taking, you could see the image of a masked phantom behind the mirror (50/50 glass).  Then they'd take you inside for the main show.  That bronze stature / phantom in the mirror only lasted 6 months to a year.  I later on saw the statue sitting with other props in the long cue line for the Earthquake show.  I'm guessing it was made of fiberglass.  Interestingly, Rick Baker has one that looks exactly like it in his backyard, said the be sculpted by a friend of his - perhaps he created it for the Universal Makeup show as well.

I remember the Cafe used to have a Lifesize Creature, if I remember is was sculpted by Henry Alvarez.  I remember seeing it in 2000.

The cafe opened after my visit, and I don't know if the makeup show was still around then.  Must've been a bad time to go.   ;D

Just got my notification from Super 7 that the "Ascot" Vincent Price figure is being shipped out.

MonsterBaker666

Just received my Vincent Price action figure.  VERY nice.  Looks better in person than in photos.

I see they have another repaint of previous figures - Frankenstein & The Bride 2 pack in Red / Pink glow-in-the dark paint in a heart shaped box.  A bit expensive ($46.47 with tax / shipping to me) even with the 15% discount, but I'm a sucker for glow figures.

S7 LOOOOOOVES their repaints.  ;D

I usually despise them but I'll admit this set looks nicely done.

Get them for your sweetie for Valentine's Day! They'll love it much more than flowers, or diamonds.  ;D

I used to go to Universal Studios Hollywood quite a bit, until I moved to the east coast in 2011. One of the things I loved, was how people who represented the classic Universal Monsters, who were transported to meeting the public in a 1960s Funeral coach. There was also a walk through, which had once housed a "Van Helsing" walk through that was about the classic Universal Monster movies. During the 2021 Universal Horror Nights", besides the Monster Cafe, they also had a walk through  about the Bride wanting to revive the Frankenstein monster.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Not to beat a dead horsey or anything: but has anyone heard anything about their Werewolf of London seeing the light of day?

Nope. Has S7 ever done one?

I think it was last year cortland hill said he was working with them.  But so far nothing.  Might never come about.  The old thing about an heir wanting money for a likeness, and would paying it bring in enough sales to offset it.

Funny how they announce things, make prototypes, art work, etc, then never release them.  Like the Soapies.  They showed the prototypes years ago, finally release 4 glow versions that are listed as sold out on their site since shortly after they released them, yet no regular non glow versions for those 4, nor any of the other prototypes.  What gives?

MonsterBaker is correct that Cortland was working with them. Heard nothing else since.

He must be asking for a big chunk of change.   It's been in the works for years.
