Got me too, but admittedly, these carded versions are not GITD liked the boxed versions and the color schemes are also different.

I'm thinking of the 2 AHI Creature figs. that were in boxes and are now on repro cards. Neither version were GITD.

Reminds me of a line of dialog from Star Wars - "Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?"

Since we don't know what they're going to release or when, we make our purchases on what they do release when they release them.

3 years ago (??!!) they showed the prototypes of the soakies.  Now 3 years latar (again...??!!) they released 4 of them.  Still no word if / when they'll release The Bride, The Invisible Man or The Mummy.  And right now they released them as glow paint schemes.  Will they release painted version like they showed all those years ago?

I got into the figures late in the game, when some of them had already sold out on the Super 7 site.  I was lucky to get the sold out ones at other sites at quite reasonable prices, because I wanted the entire series.

So who knows what else will come out.  Will they come out with AHI figures as shown on the Creature carded figure (The Mummy, Frankenstein and The Wolf Man)?  If  so - boxed AND carded?

Time will tell.  Sure hope it won't be 3+ years wating time, tho.

Yes, they are new color ways.

Do you mean that the two carded creatures are different colour ways? I can't see any difference in them to my boxed ones although I could be missing someone.

No, the Frank, Mummy, Yellow Creech and Wolfman are new colorways. They're just slightly similar to the last ones they did.

Got it, I thought that was what you meant and I'm going to wait for the more regular paint work on these soapies as I don't tend to go for the GITD versions.

Just to note here that, if a certain figure is sold out on the website, I was told to call the San Francisco store or the San Diego Store. They sometimes will have stock and will gladly ship a figure to you. I have done this on two occasions. When I went to order the the boxed psychedelic color figures the website was out of the Wolf Man, but the SF location had one and shipped it to me. Shipping was crazy for just that one figure ($17.00) I know I'm a fool for paying that but had to have it. Now that I think about it should have checked around on the Internet Im sure I could have found it, and for less shipping cost.

I think everyone can agree they need to retire the first series sculpts.

It looks like they lost the Planet of the Apes license, you'd think they would have promoted it ending,  I'd been on the fence about getting some of soldier apes to make an army.

While I did get the Soapies (can we all agree to call them Soakies?) other than the Mutant I passed on the neon carded figures, but the more I see them the more I think I might pull the trigger.

The backs of the cards have that faux weathering everybody loves.😕

Licenses come and go.  They all have a time limit.  Some might be extended, and others can't.   And some linceses just dont work out.

Looks like Super 7 is now trying to get out as many Universal monsters items as they can now.  Hopefully the license will last long enough to get out all the soakies in glow and non glow versions.

But sales of the current items will determine future releases.  If the glow soakies dont sell they might just think that non glow versions won't sell either.

Would love to see color variants of some of the series 3 lineup!
Hopefully the Werewolf of London licenses go through as well.

Hey, that faux weathered look will go great with my mint packaging, that, well, over the years no longer looks mint!  ;)

The Cantankerous Collector

I ordered a set of Series 3, a set of the wacky color figures and a Creature pennant. They are on the way!
