Hello. My uncle passed away and when I was little this Frankenstein was always awesome to me. Its in realy nice condition as it was kept in glass. Were all of these paint it your self things? All I know is its older then I am and prices on value were all over the place with these guys. Any further info would be appreciated.

Welcome to the UMA, Soon180 !  :)

Here is a different TC "Frankenstein" that someone posted about, a while back. It was also chalkware and from 1974. 12" tall and came unpainted.

Sorry for your loss.

That is an awesome looking piece and I'm glad you were able to save it.

Mike, I have one of these, on the base, in the back, it is very, very weak, but I think it says Universal, with another word which looks like it starts with FM or something or other, along with what looks like a very weak 69, but you need a little imagination to read it, it's so weakly impressed.

Actually it looks a bit different, it doesn't have a jacket, it looks like Frankenstein is wearing a knit sweater.

Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate it this is special to me and I will be keeping it. I guess they all were unpainted but im very curious that these were sold at Disney in the mid 70s? Never seen any pics of the red bottom like this one has. My uncle did indeed vist then and got it there. If he brought it unpainted then he must have painted it himself. This was something he always loved showing me. It was laying on its back in a glass case. He would always say dont wake him up. This uncle loved taking me to see horror movies and instilled my love for them, classic horror, sci fi, and Godzilla movies  at a very young age.

With the stickers on top of the red painted bottom, I'm wondering if the ones sold at Disneyland weren't pre-painted.

Its not paint but more like red felt bottom . Indeed it makes me wonder if it was sold pre painted like that?
