Jean St. Jean is an amazing artist who is responsible for some of our favorite Uni-Monsters over the last years. Here are his raw scuplts, free of crappy factory paint......................Larry

He is an amazing sculptor and great fellow, passionate about his own talent, art, and work as well as the modern myths he breathes life into. And not just in the last several years, not only did he create the Kay figure included with the Select version of the first DST Creature (a Creature figure which I like in it's own right, but I sure am glad DST decided to create a more articulated version and were wise enough to enlist St. Jean), he also worked on the Hasbro Signature series (which has shown up in another thread recently).

They should sell these as kits. The factory paints really do an injustice to the brilliant sculpts.

That's his Marvel Tomb of Dracula piece

I had heard that was what it's from, but I forgot it.

That Creature looks even better without paint! So incredible!

I think it's time Martin of Distinctive Dummies give this amazing sculptor a call.  For that matter, Star Ace should be knocking down this man's door to get him on board.  AMAZING STUFF!

The Marvel Dracula looked like Vincent Price for a second but it's a fantastic piece.

Is there a reason Dracula doesn't look like Lugosi, whereas the others look like their Universal on-screen inspirations?

Understood.  And it looks just like what it's intended to.  My question is:  why isn't the Dracula the Lugosi version—as all the others are the Universal versions?

Because Universal doesn't want to deal with Bela Jr.
