The Invisible Ray
Nice performances from both Karloff and Lugosi, some of the simple special effects are quite effective.
My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

Did a little DVD to AVI conversion for watching flicks on my Augen The Book!  Converted all my Universal flicks into 800X400 res. for perfect on the go viewing.  Went ahead and watched The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein the other day; though the screen size is obviously a little off the normal aspect ratio it didn't distract me a bit and everything looked great!

What a great afternoon movie...

Home sick today, decided to have a little film fest. Saw Dracula's Daughter, The Mummy's Hand, and Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man.

I don't think I had seen Dracula's Daughter before. It was mildly entertaining, but did not feel like a true Universal horror to me. More like a Sherlock Holmes or other thriller.

It's been many years since I last saw The Mummy's Hand. I know many people look down on the Kharis films, but this was very entertaining and I thought Tom Tyler made a creepy mummy.

As for FMTWM, a classic of course. No matter how many times I see it I catch something new. For instance, what happens to Maleeva? Was she washed away by the flood? Or did she escape? And boy, I sure wish there was some way we could see the excised footage with the Monster speaking. That would be more precious to me than the spider sequence from Kong or even a print of London After Midnight!

Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

I would agree "The Mummy's Hand" is one of Universal's most under appreciated films.
