Toby Hooper's "The Funhouse" is a personal fave of mine. Look out for all the Universal Monsters posters, masks, & toys in the beginning. The Remco Frankenstein has a cameo.

Omg, yes!
From the begin of the film, I remember the Kid's room. The part when
Liz's brother is on the stairs and gets startled by his Father, then drops
the REMCO Frankenstein's Monster. I use to bring-out my REMCO Frankenstein's Monster when viewing the film. ( Nerd Alert!)
The homage to Halloween (1978) is great, too.
.....and William Finley(Phantom of the Paradise-1974) in his
little cameo performance.
Oh?! Sylvia Miles (The Sentinel -1977)
