Nice trio, Anthony. Try "The Unknown" next. Great film.

Ace of Hearts 1921
Mockery 1927
Mr. Wu 1927
The Unknown 1927
The Phantom of the Opera 1929 Restored version - motion blur and all.
West of Zanzibar 1928
Laugh Clown Laugh 1928
London After Midnight 1928 - the reconstruction. (better than nothing).

I watched a couple of A&C movies on TCM, last night, including HOLD THAT GHOST. A sort of a "Meet the Monsters" hanger on.

I really like Hold that Ghost a lot! Bud and Lou are young, fresh and hungry for success.  Even with the songs - the film runs at a blinding pace. Also, I love the way The Andrews Sisters sing Aurora. It is my favorite out of all the songs they performed in Abbott & Costello films.

It can be hard at times (at least for me), to watch the older films after life and fate set in. Nevertheless, they were great up to the very end.

Saturday night:

Abbott & Costello meet the Mummy 1955.

Their 2nd starring feature, after BUCK PRIVATES. It features a moving candle bit that was later revisited for MEET FRANKENSTEIN. (I guess everybody already knows all this.)

Exactly Mike. It just goes to show that good gags can always work if they're redressed a little.

Monday night:

Munster Go Home 1965. This may be stretching it a little bit.

I recorded HOLD THAT GHOST on TCM and watched a bit later on Friday night, then finished watching it over lunch Saturday. I had never seen it before. Later that night I stayed up to watch Svengoolie on ME-TV (Around here it starts at 11:00 after local news and Get Smart) Imagine my surprise when they start the film - and it's HOLD THAT GHOST! At least I didn't have to stay up to 1:00 a.m. ...

And... I just watched MUNSTERS GO HOME as well the week before! Change of Season made me look for something Halloweeny, maybe?

Yeah, I'm just biding my time until Oct 1st. This is my favorite time of the year (besides the beginning of Baseball season). Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas.

Tuesday night:

The Creature from the Black Lagoon 1954.

I guess I'll swim into the month of October with Uncle Gill-Bert.

Everybody's favorite visiting relative, for sure.
