Earlier today:

Son of Frankenstein 1939 - the Karloff Trilogy of Frankenstein Films are still the greatest, not only in Universals Series, but in the Frankenstein canon as well.

Films like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein are great, and they are true to the novel. However, as I look at the "patch work Makeup design on Robert DeNiro, it is very hard for me to envision The Frankenstein Monster! I am so used to the Universal/Jack Pierce design (brainwashed and old fashioned too),  that it becomes almost impossible for me see anyone other than Karloff, Lon Chaney Jr., Bela Lugosi, and Glenn Strange in the role.

Universal Studios Classic Horror branded me just like a horse -- and I've loved every minute of it since then.

Funny, DeNiro once claimed that he would make people forget about Karloff with his take on the monster. I remember very little about that version.

DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Mord

Son of Frankenstein - The three big Bs of horror...Boris, Bela, & Basil. Great line up, great film.

Mord

Ghost of Frankenstein - Chaney Jr. not bad as the monster

Mord

Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman - watching them all in order (Bela was by far the worst Frankenstein monster)
