Guy goes to pick up his date at her grandfather's house and ends up transported to an alien planet(along with his date her little sister and their grandfather) and gets involved in a race war between mutants who never leave their city(and thrive on radiation) and humanoids who face starvation..

A famous UK studio that wasnt Hammer produced it(and its' sequel) and was also originally a television episode ala Quatermass..

Great adventure stuff and the Daleks are one of the most iconic sci-fi aliens of all time!  :)

Girl gets angry because an old friend has captured the attention of her boyfriend and abandons them on an outing. She ends up staying the night in an abandoned building and runs afoul of the malevolent locals who eventually attack the nearby town, putting it to the sword.
