My Babs and Bub arrived today. Oh my. Oh the Scarecrow is a masterpiece. Black Sunday looks far better in person. Glad I got them both. I also got the NECA Ultimate Myers Halloween 2 figure today and it's...not as good as the figure they did years ago honestly. Face is fat as a bloated hog. Not sure what happened. 

I did like the look of last months releases and it's good to know that as ever the DD figures always look even better in hand. Sorry to hear about the halloween 2 figure not cutting the mustard but any news on next months releases and drop date?

Martin will have to chime in on a release date, as it's Labor Day Weekend in the States, and I don't know how that will affect things. Maybe not at all, as Martin works in his sleep,lol. As for hints: well....I am not going to give any this time around. Let's just say that both releases have been on people's wish lists for years and are getting great releases. They will be fast sell outs. Don't dawdle or oversleep.

So, in displaying Bubba, and wanting him to look more post Bubba/ghost and less human....I took a small square of black silk, and tucked it under his burlap hood. Flipped his collar up, and put a piece of straw on top of the burlap hood. Just a couple tweaks to an already awesome figure. This is one of my favorite tv films. Its also a fave figure from DD. Well done, Martin!

I was torn about it at first because the head sculpt is so good, and the teeth and eyes are really spooky showing out through the hood. But I wanted the unearthly, vengeful, blacked out eyes and face look...so I tried it. It works.

I think the Tombs of the BD figure and packaging has one of the best presentations I have seen from DD. The figure is amazing, the art work is great and the coloring is magnificent on the card. The card makes a great background that looks like an ancient tomb.
