Both small meals incorporate Ham. A new spin on some olde recipes. Using tried and tested successful ingredients, by a master chef extraordinaire. We might call him a maestro were we doing musical hints, instead of food related ones.

The Main course is inspired by Indian Cuisine, paired with subtle British tavern wine. Packing quite a kick, sure not to disappoint. Make sure you finish it, and don't peter out. Don't wanna make anyone mad at you after all.
I am told it t tastes like Chicken.

For dessert, something truly lavish.... sporting a French base with English toppings. Rich and delightful up top, sporting a dark base beneath. Sure to tempt the taste buds.
Don't get me wrong...I love me some Ham pizza, but I am sure longing for a 12-inch Kharis sandwich with all the fixings to show up on the menu soon!

So no thoughts on what next months treats are? I'm all out of ideals (again  ::)).

Sorry I can't post a picture but I finally managed to bag me an original Pennywise at the right price  ;D

I never thought I would own this due to the cost but I'm so happy to have him and as ever with these DD figures it looks amazing in hand.

When both are unmasked, they will be sure to delight....with fright.

Stevie Wonder could see the hints here, fellas.
Legend of 7 Golden Vampires 2-Pack & Yvonne Monlaur (Brides of Dracula)???  Gosh, I'm getting really bad at this!

Thanks for that, it was one figure that I really didn't think would ever be in my collection and even though the acid and double pack Pennywise figures are awesome this first release was an important one for me to get. Like I mentioned having it in hand really does make a difference and this is my favourite of the bunch and I think it's one of the best card backs as well, I always love the image that this one came with.

Happy days and also my other recent pic ups in the vintage section here means I've had quite the week!  ;D

Just received my Halloween bundle and I must say that I'm floored by both how fast they arrived and also the shear craftmanship!

These are an absolute work of art and DD just went to a new level. I love the new packaging for them as well as there's no need to remove them from their boxes as they display really well as they are and also don't take up much space.

One thing I thought worth mentioning is that if team DD use these boxes ever again it's probably worth putting a sheet of bubble wrap inside the box in between the window and figure. Mine arrived pretty much perfect except for a tiny nose rub (no problem at all though) on the witch child but some bubble wrap would protect this from happening I think. I'm sure it would be easy to do and hopefully everyone's will arrive with no problems (they are tied in well so there shouldn't be).

Well, I can't wait to get home and display these but they're such an amazing addition to my collection so thank you all involved once again, it's made my week  ;D

I just receive mine and unfortunately the shipping box and all contents were crushed. The figures are fine but the packaging is destroyed. This is a true bummer. If Martin doesn't have any replacement boxes the figures are pretty much worthless to me. I knew the new packaging would be a problem when it comes to them arriving in one piece from Thailand. Again, a major bummer!

That's really sad to hear and I feel your pain with this. What goes on with the people who handle these parcels?! Mine was all good fortunately but I'm sure something like this will also happen to me at some point as it's the way things seem to go.

Really sorry for you and hopefully Martin has a few spares knocking around.

I was fearful of the same thing, Jim. My items are usually all sorts of messed up. My Halloween 3's arrived safely. Unfortunately I didn't have them long. Getting a root canal with crummy insurance means making sacrifices. Have you contacted Martin about possibly obtaining a replacement box? He had talked about offering replacements at his cost awhile back.

horrorhunter

Mail carriers even managed to mangle the clamshell for my Night Of The Werewolf figure. I can imagine figure boxes arriving undamaged would be problematic.

Didn't think there was much chance of a freakin' clamshell inside a shipping box getting badly dented...but there it was::)
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Martin has told me if he ever quits doing this it will be because of the USPS. He loses his shirt alot on fixing their errors. Eventually he is either going to have to raise prices to incorporate the costs of protecting against additional shipping contingencies that may arise, or offer replacements at his cost. he cannot keep paying the price for the USPS's terrible service and continue to stay afloat. I would gleefully jump at paying for a replacement box or for a shipping extra special upgrade with as many packages as I ahve had damaged from EVERYONE who sends me ANYTHING. USPS is worthy of being in Freddy Krueger's realm. It's a nightmare.

the_horror_man

What is really sad is that some of the replacements Martin was kind enough to send me, also got damaged. There is no need of it.

More damaged shipping!!! This  is just not on as its draining me both mentally and financially. I have always stood by my products and have always replaced when and where I could at my expense. I have been racking my brains all morning to try and remember the last time someone said" Post Office has done a number again, if you can replace it I will cover shipping".  Yes my responsibility to ensure you get a product in good condition but not my fault certain areas have idiotic Neanderthal, clumsy, clodden hooved, employees who don't give a monkeys stump for customer service. There has to be a point in time that this needs to be addressed and resolved. I have done some digging and it seems 85% of all damaged items are the same 5 or 6 addresses so the question has to be why? Why were these same addresses getting damaged items when I shipped from a US forwarder. Why are they still getting damaged items now? Why are these areas a maelstrom of damage to my parcels? Are my parcels the only ones getting trashed? Have the people at these addresses pissed off the PO or delivery guys so that they get a pleasure from performing ritualistic damage to the items they deliver? I have no answer at this time, all I have is the question WHY?
But what do I do? That is a bigger question. Everytime I send a replacement case or boxes, any profit I make on that figure is gone, never to be reclaimed. Do I  ban these addresses from purchasing future figures? My figures sell out and someone always misses out, so it wouldn't affect sales too much. Do I put terms and conditions on the order page that states DD is not responsible for any damage caused by the postal service? Do I force the customer to return the damaged item at their expense for replacements, as this is what Paypal would make them do? Do I charge certain addresses an extra $20 to $30 to use and ship extra strength, double boxed packaging? Do I cut the run to 30 but charge twice the price and make the figures more rare and valuable to those that still wish to buy and keep the cost in line with what most customizers would charge?  Do I raise prices for everyone to cover the costs of damage to those whose products are damaged regularly? Or, do i think 'Sod this crap. Enough is enough and stop completely, open a small refreshment stand by the beach and sit there with my dogs reading books? Sooner rather than later this needs to be addressed and questions answered if not for the financial side of things, then for my own sanity.

Anton Phibes

I know I have had more than a few things get beat up by the post office over the years....and not just things sent by DD. The USPS is, quite simply, just plain terrible. My actual "to the door" mail person is pretty good. When she runs her route. But what happens to items before things get to her, to bring to me, is anyone's guess.

Most of my items make it to me safely. But occasionally, I have had to let DD (and others) know if there has been damage. I have said before, I have no idea how we get these things shipping included from Thailand as cost effectively as we do. It costs me $13.00 to mail a mego figure from Ohio to California.

the_horror_man

I think the best way to do things is if a box or clam shell is damaged, the customer can pay for a new one from DD. If I need a replacement box, I think  putting up like $10 or something, is ok. I realize that some might not want to. However, people need to realize DD is not NECA or some other huge company and they do the absolute best they can on the budget they have. Actually, I have said many times, I don't know how DD does it between the figures, custom cards and shipping. When it comes down to it, DD is obviously a company fueled by passion, not profit.
