I went for The Gorgon. The head sculpt is magnificent!

Both of these ladies had amazing head sculpts and paintwork so I can see why you went for The Gorgon, great releases this month (as ever)!

I'd love to see what these new bodies you used on characters like Amy look like so if you've posted them elsewhere I'd love to see them. The one thing that makes me nervous is removing the heads from the original DD bodies. I'm worries that they might get damaged when transplanting them. Also did you repaint the bodies if they had paint on originally?

Ian

Martin glues the heads on,but I did have him leave mine unglued since he knew I was doing the change for all the females I was buying from him and then putting them onto Yvonnes. I would imagine the heads could pull off using some heat in the socket to loosen the glue. Once the head is removed, you'll need to "carefully" dremel a bigger hole for the fit. I used blue tak (very popular method) onto the ball joint to attach the head, but you could also super glue it onto the peg depending on if the females head even turn or not.......I also did it for the They Live old lady female too. repainted her hands using the much better hands that come with yvonne. I posted my they live collection on facebook (the greatest they live 8" collection you'll ever see) plus the others of fright night, evil dead. Wish I could post pics here. The website setup here doesn't just let me attach photos.

The head sculpt is magnificent, as is Martin's paint job!  The color scheme and detail in the face is very screen accurate.  So much so that I'm concerned I might turn to stone if I stare at the figure too long!

I'm concerned about how many snakes will break off. This one's a field day for reckless mailmen.

Thanks for all the information, really appreciate it and food for thought with changing the bodies out at some point.

My Amelia arrived the other day which was another great figure. She does seem to have her head bent quite far forward which I'm not totally sure if this is part of the look or if maybe something happened in transit as she was placed facing backwards in the clamshell. Either way she's a great looking figure and it would be interesting to know how anyone else on here who picked one up found theres.

The head is slightly leaning forward because of the shape of the Gracie body neck and placement. The Head is glued on so it wouldn't move in transit. Yes, Emelia is another fantastic piece! I have my Zuni hovering over her shoulder. This figure will be very sought after later.

Good to know although I tried to move it back a bit and the head popped off  :o

I'll try to trim some of the glue from the back of the inside of the head and maybe even shave some of the plastic down off of the neck to see if I can get it to sit a little straighter on the body as mine is leant forward quite a bit. I'm guessing with some 2 part epoxy it will stick back in place but I'll have to be a little careful.

Never mind,

Krazy glue should do it.
I am still awaiting mine. The waiting is always a real terror. The USPS gives me nightmares.
