There are no Creature goodies I'm aware of yet.

Just the suckers from last year.

You would think that three years of Frankie would be enough.  It's time to move on to the Creature from the Black Lagoon!
Let's not forget the Wolfman and the Mummy (I guess a Bela Dracula would be completely out of the question). BTW, there can NEVER be enough Frankensteins.

Oh yeah, totally can never have enough Frankensteins!

Just in case there're any World Market reps reading this: THANK YOU for continuing to put out some really cool, quality,  (and, most importantly) affordable official Monster merch. I think this entire board appreciates what you've got going.

That being said: Wolfman, Mummy, and Creature products would be very much welcomed as well.
Stay sick. Turn blue. Drop dead.

Speak for yourself.  My wallet does not appreciate this.  World Market, however, does appreciate all of my money.   ;D

Went to World Market today and talked to their manager and watched them un-crate the monster (muhahaha) shipment, hell I even helped them put together part of the display. I had to goad them to get it off the palette in the back as it just arrived today and they hadn't even unpacked it.  I went through the display guide pamphlet and looked at all of the SKU's for this year.

New for this year:
a new large platter showing the monster (his feet anyway) on the slab with the Dr. and hunchback in the background
http://www.worldmarket.com/product/frankenstein+melamine+serving+platter.do?&from=Search
Coffee mug style flat bottom cups instead of the tea cup style they had last year Bride, Frank, and Bride and Frank (new image this year) http://www.worldmarket.com/product/frankenstein+and+bride+of+frankenstein+mug+set+of+4.do?&from=Search

New large Tote bags with the doctor mixing brew on one side and frank and bride on the other
four pillows two throw pillows and two lumbar pillows
Dr. mixing liquids (lumbar) http://www.worldmarket.com/product/universal+frankenstein+laboratory+lumbar+pillow.do?&from=Search
seated bride and Frank with dr. and hunchback (lumbar) http://www.worldmarket.com/product/universal+bride+of+frankenstein+lumbar+pillow.do?&from=Search
Graveyard scene  pilllow that is truly awesome (throw) http://www.worldmarket.com/product/universal+frankenstein+graveyard+throw+pillow.do?&from=Search
Frankenstein's monster on the slab (throw) http://www.worldmarket.com/product/universal+frankenstein+monster+throw+pillow.do?&from=Search
the lumbar pillows are very thin they don't look poofy at all like the online store pictures; like the thickness of a seat cushion. they were vacuum packed in the plastic bag so it may take a little poofing up.
drink coaster sets (4 in each) that come in a metal tin http://www.worldmarket.com/product/universal+monsters+coasters%2C+set+of+4.do?&from=Search
All of the Melamine plate and the cup stuff is 25% off.

they have lots of the metal trays of Bride and Frank seated (last year's image out of the 3 designs out so far) and the wine tote that were very limited last year.http://www.worldmarket.com/product/universal+monsters+insulated+wine+tote.do?&from=Search  http://www.worldmarket.com/product/bride+of+frankenstein+tin+serving+tray.do?&from=Search
they did not have any candy (bars or suckers) or the paper items (notepads) from last year but did have the same two drink bottles.
I think they only have a license for Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein and the Glenn Strange Frankenstein as nothing from any other Universal Film has ever been offered besides a generic cartoon creature and mummy image on the candy suckers that do not seem to have made it to stores at all this year. I seriously doubt we will ever see anything else from them in the way of other universal monsters or products such as Wolfman or Dracula and from the looks of it, the selection this year seems downsized (and on discount sale to boot) so they are likely trying to get rid of back stock of plates and what not and only offering a limited selection of new stuff this year. I wonder how long they will still do new licensed stuff?

I ate my dinner at Wienerschnitzel and asked them about Halloween prizes in the kids meals this year, last several years they had Frankenstein flashlights but the guy said, "Corporate has done away with toys we now give ice cream cones instead."
I don't know how far I trust a teenager to be in the know enough to make such pronouncements but it is looking grim.

Zurchers (a party type store with large Halloween selection) had the basic UM stuff including aggravating licensed costumes that look like crap of Frank, Wolfy, Bride and Mummy but nothing new.

Halloween City and Spirit (seasonal costume stores ) hadn't really unpacked their stuff yet.
Michaels and JoAnn's (Craft stores) didn't have anything really interesting. Piss on Hobby Lobby I don't shop there.

Totally. I had to smile last year when I saw a very average looking  (certainly not a creepy monster collector) mom and her too-cool-for-anything teenage daughter picking out the Frankenstein melamine plates and serving tray. So their products are definitely appealing to the general masses. Which means sales/incentive for them to keep innovating new monster goodies.

the manager said most of the UM stuff sold like crazy last year (within a week or two) and then he complained they didn't have any Halloween display beside the depleted stock of unsold cups, napkins and notepads for like half of September and most of October (by Mid October they replace it with Christmas crap anyway)
All kinds of mom types (their basic clientele) bought Franken-plates and serving trays for their Halloween soirees it seems.

Not exactly in a physical store, but new for this Halloween:

I have the metal Creature mask this company offers, and I'm very tempted by these masks.

Thanks for the heads up about world market as we have one here in NW Portland so I'll go check it out this weekend, they always have a good supply of Halloween treats (that and the Goodwill that's down the road).

I like the metal Creature mask sign, but I'd rather put that money toward a real Ben Cooper mask. I have the BC Creature that was sold as a mask only, but I'd like to get one of the ones that came with the costume.

Here is something for Dracula fans:

Blood of Life Dracula Wine Bottle Holder - $20.00 from Walmart

An odd choice of monster for this product design.  Everyone knows Dracula never drinks... wine.

But you need to find one in a store.  The shipping is outrageous.
