Is this the first of the Arkoff movies to have a BD?

Only one I can think of.  Certainly hope it is just the first.

Hope we get War of the Colossal Beast (complete with color sequence) next.

Well, Mike, there is another AIP film.  Things are looking up.

This one also had a color sequence.  That just leaves War of the Colossal Beast and  I Was a Teenage Frankenstein of the AIP's that had color inserts.  Wonder if they will be next?

Did a search and found this on Blu-Ray.com:

Shout Factory Acquires Roger Corman's Film Library

Posted March 15, 2018 07:00 PM

U.S. label Shout Factory has acquired Roger Corman's legendary New Horizons Pictures library. While the exact terms of the deal are unknown at the moment, it was confirmed that it covers more than 270 films, plus additional TV content.

Ace Film HK Company, a Chinese distributor, is also a new co-owner of the film library.

Shout Factory will control distribution rights for Corman's library in North America, Europe, Australia and Russia.

After the official announcement, Shout Factory's founders Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos said:

"We've loved working with them (Corman his wife, Julie) over the last eight years and are thrilled to now be the custodians of these beloved films, making sure that film buffs and fans everywhere discover them like we did."

Looks like SHOUT! has all the Arkoff library (around 10ish movies).

I Was a Teenage Frankenstein of the AIP's that had color inserts.  Wonder if they will be next?

Nuts.  She is just 5 years older than me - and women tend to live longer than men.

Ah, well.  I have a good enough copy courtesy of you.  It ain't like it was a great movie or anything.

I like the general setup.  Have yet to see a really good movie about EMP's.

...
  ...

Found this quote from Tom Weaver over on the Classic Horror Film Board:

"[Scream Factory's] UNIV. HORROR VOLUME 2 is a treasure, everybody should buy two of 'em. With only a few more shopping days left 'til Christmas, start thinking about stuffing all your friends' stockings with copies of it.

THAT SAID ...... don't jettison your old DVDs of HORROR ISLAND. The funniest shot in the whole movie is when everybody arrives at the castle and starts meandering around, and there smack-dab in the center of the screen is a crew member carrying a spotlight. In the new Blu-ray, he's gone: A section of the shot has been enlarged to fill the screen, so that the crew member no longer appears."

I didn't get permission before quoting him, but I don't think he will object - especially if none of you squeal on me.

AND THAT'S WHY I PREFER TO KEEP OWNING DVD's  - STUDIOS WILL ALTER THINGS I'D LIKE TO SEE LEFT ALONE.

Thanks, I'm keeping my DVD version. It still looks great. Upgrading on this is just a waste of money. Think of how many times we've enjoyed these films with snowy, grainy, picture and were ecstatic to watch. I'm playing "House of Horrors" now, and it looks fantastic.

Has anybody been keeping tally?  How many more are left from the Universal Studios DVD Horor/Sci-Fi Collections that need the full Blu-Ray treatment?

I'm thinking it can't be many.

And then, how many others have never even been on DVD?
