Coming October 24th from Kino Lorber:

Sweet! Hope they're not $35. I've already got the Olive BD. Bad enough to replace DVDs with BD, but BD with newer BD is getting kind of expensive!

That, I might go for!  :)

Looks like I will be spending some money with them.

Their Dr. Phibes double feature BLU-ray is only $11.99.  And they have a couple others I want.

It will need to be a substantial increase in quality before I double-dip.  I'll wait to see the Olive vs Kino comparison shots.

Universal also announced a box set of all the Universal Monsters films on 4K with......... psychedelic artwork to put it lightly:

I have the collector's edition of It Came from Outer Space on preorder. I'm not buying that new 4K monster collection, because I already own the Australian version, which is now below $50 on Amazon. It has the 8 essential Universal Monster films on 4K. I will not purchase the Universal Monsters on 4K again until the eventual inevitable 4K legacy collections.
Listen to them. Children of the Night. What music they make!

Tom Weaver told me that they are carrying over the same commentary he did for the BLU-Ray.  His only new addition is a couple of paragraphs in the 4K booklet.

If someone sells an isolated 4K disc on eBay cheap enough, I might pick it up.  But, I don't have any desire for all the other knick-knacks.
