I wish I were in a position to cavalierly dismiss your kind offers, but a Hasbro Horror House set is yet to make its way into my collection. I'd suggest you direct your entreaties to Monster Bob, RPM or Darkmonkeygod who may, or may not, have such a set sitting half forgotten in their domiciles.

I doubt they're all that forgotten.

Quote from: Hepcat on May 03, 2019, 07:40:38 PMThe Hasbro Horror House Paint and Pencil by Number set ... was the mother of all paint and colour by number sets!

When it comes to sheer magnificence, the Hasbro Horror House Paint and Pencil by Number set by a wide margin outshines even my very best paint sets:

Quote from: Hepcat on May 03, 2019, 07:40:38 PMThe Hasbro Horror House Paint and Pencil by Number set was a Sears exclusive listed for $3.97 in the 1963 and 1964 Sears Xmas catalogues:

I'll give you $5.00 for yours...  No, I need to take into account collector value...  Make it $5.50.

Looking at the original prices in ads of the monster toys we've been coveting since our younger days is simply heartrending:

Meanwhile I got my Creature-Wolfman wallet "free" back in 1964 for selling fifteen newspapers in an afternoon!

Check out the prices from these ads in Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine:

And the prices for the Aurora monster model kits in the ads that ran on the back covers of DC comic mags in 1963-65:

How much were the newspapers? I might have just bought them, myself!  ;D

The Globe & Mail was a Toronto newspaper and thus priced at a whopping fifteen cents in London compared with the ten cent price of the London Free Press. This made the Globe & Mail a bitch to sell in London. But since I wanted the monster wallet so bad, I bought the last three myself with my cash earnings that day and then flipped them to my father and next door neighbours!

Christmas of 1966 brought catalogs with prices that are very nostalgic these days:

But, the real heartbreak is in the detail:
