Johnny Seven O.M.A.:

I got one of these for Christmas in the mid '60s. Great toy! Bit of a Sci-fi slant for a military weapon.

I never replaced this in my collection because I don't collect toy guns per se, and nice examples of this toy are pretty pricey and take up a lot of space. I did make exceptions for the Hamilton's Invaders helmet and weaponry however, because I'm partial to the HI stuff.

It's worth looking at if only to hear the title music, this used to fill me with dread every time it came on.

That music fills you with dread?  A word of warning. Never watch the movie PSYCHO!!  ;D

Admittedly it probably helped that I was 8 or 9 at the time, it just felt like something bad was coming my way

There was a late '60s UK horror anthology with a much scarier theme. Can't remember the title, but there is a rollercoaster in the title sequence.

The Johnny Seven O.M.A. was a huge success for Topper Toys and was the top selling boy toy of 1964! I never had one as a kid but it's still certainly something I'd like to add to my collection some day.

Here's  a great specimen from Bigbud's collection:

Enough firepower right there to keep the neighbour's dog, your kid sister or even Frankenstein at bay!

Yeah, they seem to have a lot of those. I still have a few pics hosted through them but I've mostly washed my hands of them. Using flickr now when I rarely need a pic hosted. I mostly hotlink to net pics because of the annoying hoop jumping necessary to post your own pics here. Photobucket's always sending me emails trying to squeeze money for something or other. I won't be doing further business with them. The last time I went to their site I couldn't get anything done for all the ads and general chaos. It was like trying to navigate a minefield. I'm also suspicious of those hosting sites with the assault of ads for the possibility of malware. Seems like fertile ground for picking up ransomware or something else nasty. Since Tinypic seems to be owned by Photobucket I avoid them as well.

Here's a pic I found online (which I took!) of a toy I sold a few years ago.  I do love those cheapo cheezee monster toys:

So Walpurgisnacht which marks the formal start of spring on many calendars is now several weeks past. And you know what they say about where a young man's fancy turns in spring. Yes, it turns to Halloween!

And I have my Halloween costume all picked out, almost. It's between this original Collegeville Rat Fink costume from the 1960's:

And the snazzy 1991 Collegeville reissue like this one here belonging to fellow UMAer SpeedierThanthe Grave:

Every single picture you show I took... I still own the largest one, your second image...

I sold the first unknown witch manufacturer last year, the third image I sold the year before with a second plaque of similar design and quality.

Hah! So I very clearly remember you posting those pictures last November(?) with the warning to grab them now if you want to save them because they were from an Ebay auction and wouldn't necessarily stay up for long. So I did!

I don't recall you mentioning though that they were from your own auction.
