Trigger was also the name of a friend of Winnie the Pooh. He was Tigger's brother.  Disney did not include him in the series.  His full name was Trigger Happy. 
Tigger bounced on his tail but Trigger bounced by shooting his pistols in the ground to get the same effect.  Disney didn't think the violence was good for children.
