"Tales from the Crypt" is getting a series reboot at TNT, with "The Visit" director M. Night Shyamalan at the helm. The horror anthology series will feature short and long form content curated by Shyamalan.

Thats more than enough films that I enjoy to give this reboot a shot.

I don't care about Air benders or Happenings. I watched Wayward Pines. I will eventually watch The Visit. I don't care what critics say, and in most cases even my peers.

Anton, I caught The Visit yesterday and I'm happy to report it's Shyamalan's best film since Signs.

I thought "Signs" was pretty weak. I'll give this my usual three episodes. If it fails to keep me interested beyond the first three eps, then I'll just drop it.

How is it reinventing him if you're making him like he originally was?

I think the HBO Cryptkeeper is just such an iconic character that people have a hard time thinking about the series without him. I'll be interested to see the return to the more "serious" incarnation of him, though.

I don't like anything about this new show, but now I'm more upset that people are seriously saying that if he's not a midget skeleton puppet then he's not the Crypt Keeper.
