Thanks AoF!  I didn't remember that one, for some reason.

When they put them in the lower right corner of the screen, they call them "bugs." When Sci-Fi Channel first started airing "Mystery Science Theater 3000" in 1997, the bug would cover up Mike and the 'bots, and viewers complained. So, just for MST3K, they moved the bug to the lower left corner of the screen

And they don't even care. It's all about ratings, not satisfying their audience.

I don't think they even care, anymore. It used to be guys like us. Think about it: they're owned by NBC Universal. The only place to see classic Universal horror films is on "Svengoolie." I think the last time SFC aired a classic UniMonster flick was on "MST3K." That's almost 20 years ago, now.

Sci-Fi before it was SyFy... back when they actually had good programming.

Whoa, are you forgetting the "Sharknado" classics?

I'm trying to, yes. The true "Beginning of the End" for Syfy.

The first one was a novelty. After that ... it was just embarrassing. That third one was not only incomprehensible, but quite literally painful to watch!

No worse than some of the really low budget stuff that was coming out of Italy back in the day. Try getting through Zombie 3. Ack!!  :o ;D
