It Came From Outer Space. A relatively memorable, albeit...somewhat goofy, bit of dialogue. Am I right on the guess if not the opinion, lol?

You nailed it!

Memorable dialogue that has very little to do with the main action.

That's Bradbury! One of the bits of dialogue from his screen treatment that made it into the final screenplay.

He reused it in his short story "Touched With Fire".

"More murders are committed at ninety-two degrees Fahrenheit than any other temperature. Over one hundred, it's too hot to move. Under ninety, cool enough to survive. But right at ninety-two degrees lies the apex of irritability, everything is itches and hair and sweat and cooked pork."

I like Ray Bradbury. He's a good writer. It came across as a bit "B movie-ish" in the flick. Maybe its the delivery.

Sometimes delivery can make the difference. I watched Alice, Sweet Alice the other day. It has some decent writing, and its genuinely creepy. But there are more than a few ham bone performances by The Aunt Annie and Mama Catherine characters in it,lol.  ;)
