I dig this film! I have the German (Deutscheland) DVD of Dr. Butcher M.D. Found it from a Fangoria convention.

I have the Media Blasters (Shriek Show) DVD of Zombie Holocaust. I'm stoked to finally get to see and own the Doctor Butcher M.D. cut that was shown here in the US grindhouses back in the '80s. I pre-ordered the new 2-disc Blu-ray from Severin around a month ago. I ordered early to get the Doctor Butcher Barf Bag premium given away with the first 5,000 orders. The BD should ship 7/26. I'll post a pic of the Barf Bag when it arrives.

I didn't get to see Zombie Holocaust when it played here back in the '80s, and certainly not the Doctor Butcher M.D. cut of the film. I'm not sure if it even hit drive-ins down here in the south. My cousins and I really enjoyed seeing Fulci's Zombie when it hit the drive-ins down here. Man, that was fun!  :)

One of my favorite Blobesque monsters, Caltiki, The Immortal Monster (1959).

Directed by Riccardo Freda, this film was finished by Mario Bava, which also happened with I, Vampiri (1957). Bava was Freda's assistant on both films and invested them with quality and flair while finishing them very quickly. Bava's talent would become legendary.

If you're gonna do stuff like that, you should make them funny.
