Thanks Ray, great shots. I've got the ebay photo of the Dracula that Shawn has somewhere on one of these hard drives. I'm pretty sure you can see his in one or two of the photos of his collection, whichever thread that's under. The Wolf Man is pretty goofy, unlike the Frank, which when I first saw it years and years ago, I thought might have been some smaller AHI product. Delusionaly wishful thinking on my part, I know.

Awesome pics.  i've never before seen that Franky.

I think I've looked at Shawn's collection photos and couldn't find the Dracula.  If you can find any photos, please let me see them.

The Frankenstein is very cool.  The body looks like AHI, but the head is more Ben Cooper.  And he's smaller than you would expect.  Look at the chain in those photos and compare it to the figure.

Here are some close-up photos of that strange little Frankenstein bendy pendant.

I'd still like to see pictures of the Dracula and Wolf Man, especially on cards.

Look at the detail..........I love it!!

I always thought that these may have something to do with AHI. They're great little bendies! Wasn't the Wolfman bendy posted up here a few months ago?

Yeah Ray, I've been meaning to thank you for outbidding me on that Frankie.  ;)

Oh well, someday I'll get one on the card to complete the collection.

Those are Kobe toy charms.  Kobe toys were expensive souvenirs made in Japan at the turn of the last century.

That's where the stalk eye thing came from.  Here's a Kobe toy.

Not all of them had the stalk eyes but many did, and many also had "monster" themes to them.  Not our monsters, per se, but monsters nonetheless.

The larger ones were automatons.  Many played on prejudices of the day.

You may have already known about this.  I love Kobe toys.  I don't own any except for the plastic charm type like you have, but I could get into collecting them real easy.

Thanks Bobby.  I didn't know what they were or anything about them, just that they were cherished as a kid and I wanted them back as an adult.  Never could find them again until I came across these posts, and added "Charms" into my search.  I now finally have them again, thanks to my UMA family.

Love the pics folks.  Again, thanks for taking the time to post them.  I lived in two areas during my youth that just did not have the gumball machines.  However, when visiting my grandparents they were everywhere.  I remember once being at a K-Mart and coming across a jiggler machine.  My grandmother gave me $4 or $5 (a lot of coin back then) in quarters and I went at it.  One of the checkout folks brought me a bag to put all my treasures in.  When I got back to their house I had an army of jigglers....great memories for me, and loved reading yours here.

Wow!  $4 or $5 for gumball machines!?!  I was lucky to beg off a dime, lol.  That WAS gumball nirvana!

Absolutely.  It is something I will never forget.  I just need to remember to do this with our kids at some point.  Just pull out a bunch of quarters at some gumball machines and let them go at it.  Not as cool as the ones we had, but still need to try to capture a moment like this for them.  Speaking of excited, 5:13 am here, but could not sleep a wink.  Tired as all get out, but glad Christmas morning still sparks in me.  Kids should be up in a couple of hours.

Hey! I have that Franky figure too. I've often wondered just what the heck it was. You may notice on my figure, which is quite minty (the specks are dust), that my figure never came with the chain. The loop hole on the top of the Frank head is still filled with the factory paint. It was never pierced for a chain. Perhaps this was left up to the owner?

BTW, the loop on my Franky head is intact and not broken at any point within the loop.

BTW, I also own the Dracula too. Same thing there  - mint with no chain. Pictures to follow at a later time.

That poor little Frankie is begging the world to wish him a merry Christmas.  Because he was made without his chain, he was sent directly to the Land of Misfit Toys, where he waited years for Santa to come and take him to a child who would appreciate him in spite of his chainlessness.  Finally, the little Frankie opened his eyes one morning and found himself in Terry's house.

The Phantom Creep

Actually Ray I think that Frankie is begging his owner to send him to my house so he can be reunited with his buddies.

Terry, the Wolfman and Dracula that I have already have the chains attached in the package. I have seen at least one other loose Wolfman without the chain on e-bay. Don't remember if his hole was filled in or not -ouch-!

Perhaps they were also sold loose w/o chain at some point.
