The phrase "goofballs" predates the Simpsons.

"hopped up on goofballs" is all Simpsons, and I was referring to the entire phrase, not just the one word.

all 3 of these heads have Hong Kong at the base of their necks:





these 2 have Hong Kong around the backside of the charm loop:

You got me Count Zero, I can always count on you to bring me back to ground zero.         so I ran back into the bedroom where I keep my lucky charms and sure nuff, whack job Franky has hong kong on his halo, as do the other smaller 80's charms.    Good Work.

im pretty sure that the vacuum foil plating method was only used during the 1950s & 60s to produce charms and whatnot. so maybe those hatchet head foil franks are legit 60s charms regardless of the mold.

ARE YOU SURE?  I am swearing its Hopped up on... and I distinctly remember it as Chief Wiggens saying FLandeers was the one that was "hopped hepped hooped"

D'oh!    I thought it was only NBA free zone and Shijou too.

You could try buffing the charm with a soft wheel.

But I suspect the "shimmer" is just the result of photographing it with a flash.
