It was there and gone while I wasn't looking.

You mean you actually saw it and it was still BIN?     next time you see it, BUY IT, Ill reimburse you immediately.     I have saved searches but unless you get down the same title search, it could be missed.    And they don't always show up right away at time of listing.

i think the rubber 1 in. eraser types are from the 90s.

I seem to remember there being a lot of them around, then, so that makes sense.

those re-vamped sculpts... possibly from the 90's? ive seen them many times hanging out with the 90's Best Plastics Palmer flats. not sure why they decided to give wolfman a pigman nose and make franky's features so sharp. i have a few heads in those sculpt - a couple of them are chromed vacuform gold which i believed to be a telltale indicator of an older charm. So 90's sculpts & 60's era charm making process... they are obviously freaks of nature.

good grief... still scratching my head over these charms.

check out this witch or errrr wraith pencil topper charm... pretty sure it's a witch. i really like the paint job on this one.

are my gold Frank and Creech heads repops?

I feel the chrome painted ones are vintage but I wonder about Frank now, since he has the lopsided head.     any body know?   I didn't realize my Creech was Gold chromed

until i just took this picture in the daylight, I thought he was silver this whole time.

I just discovered something about Frank chromed.   He is gotta be a repop, he is my only Chrome not marked Hong Kong.

in fact he has no markings on him.

... and I noticed the erasers also have no markings on the back of the head, which makes me say for sure, Frank lopsided hatchet job head is NEW.   Chromed or plain.

Given how haphazrd and sloppy manufacturing techniques for cheap kid stuff was back in the sixties, I wouldn't say that's an entirely compelling bit of evidence.

Could you post a comparison pic of a Frankenstein with a balanced head versus a Frankenstein with a lopsided head?

???

Sure Hep Cat, but ALL the good 60's vintage are marked hong kong.   re popped red pig nosed wolfman on right
real wolfmen of the 1960's, Hong Konged on the back.

re popped hatchet lopsided hopped up on goofballs Frankenstien on the right.     True BLUE 60's gumballed Franks on the left with telling stamp Hong Kong.

The phrase "goofballs" predates the Simpsons.

Apparently it was used in a Simpsons episode and many other movies and TV series (Dragnet), but I think the source I was thinking of was David Letterman.
