I agree, it would be a great show even without the zombies. There is betrayal, love, hate, back stabbing, twists and turns. Incredible stories about human will and survival. The apocalypse could have happened from any natural or unatural disaster. Of course, the zombies create an extreme level of intensity. However, more than half the time, it seems people are the problem.

Definitely, the people are the real monsters most of the time.

How do you know you don't like it if you haven't seen it? Walking Dead would be a great show even if it didn't have zombies.

I never said I didn't like it. I simply have no interest in it one way or the other. I've never seen a single episode of Game of Thrones either, and would you believe I've never played a single video game? Most people can't even fathom that one.

Come to think of it...I've never sent a text message. I'm not even sure how to do it.

Surely there are things in life you are aware of, yet could care less about?

I think that what it boils down to is that many of us here were zombie fans long before the "craze". So most of us here are thinking what took you so long? We've known that zombies are cool long before it was fashionable. Thank you George A. Romero!

Well, yeah...the Kardashians for one. Come to think of it, they are kind of zombie-like.

I can relate to this. I have never watched an episode of Game of Thrones. No real reason, just never did. I sent out texts for the first time last year. However, it was only on a few occasions because the situation called for it. However, since then, I have not sent any texts. Don't care for it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Ever since I saw Dawn of the Dead back around 1985, I have wanted and on going zombie series. I thought why does this have to end. When I first saw Walking Dead, I liked it because of the similarities to Dawn of the Dead. Ironically enough, a while back, I said if it weren't for Dawn of the Dead, there would be no Walking Dead. Later on, I saw an interview with Robert Kirkman and he said if it weren't for Dawn of the Dead, there would be no Walking Dead. It seems like most of the world is on board with Walking dead. Just like you said, where has everyone been. I have been enjoying this genre since the mid 80's.

Ya, I will not watch that show. They have and are given way too much money. With all the problems in the world, to throw money at them for nothing and given the fact that they are already rich, makes me sick.

I watched one episode of GoT to see what all the excitement was about. It just came off as silly & nerdy. It's more for those people into costume play. As for texting, I only do it when I need to get a message out & can't really talk (like at work). I work in a high school and you would not believe how important texting is to kids. They'll be sitting right next to each other and would rather text back & forth than talk. Can you imagine how many arthritic thumbs they'll have to deal with in the future. It will require a separate branch of medicine.

Different strokes for different folks. Game of Thrones is the only show I like as much as Walking Dead. That show has long story arcs that take more time than watching a couple of episodes. It's similar to Walking Dead in the sense that they have no problem killing off main characters that you've grown to love and that leads to a lot of "Oh my God!" moments. And no, I don't cosplay.  ;)

Mord

Sorry, Glenn, I really shouldn't generalize. You're right, I've only seen one episode (out of context). Though I must admit, some of those GoT girls are very hot.

I have heard nothing but great reviews about GOT. I would give it a chance, but my TV plate is full. ;D Walking Dead, American Horror story, Bates Motel, Face Off, Gotham, The Flash, Family Guy and American Dad.

I know what you mean. Some of the shows you've mentioned I've never watched for the same reason.

I used to watch Sleepy Hollow as well. However, I lost interest and it was getting to much to fit it in with all the other shows. I also watch Comic Book Men. Tried to get Arrow in there because I heard it was good, but have not had a chance. Also, I heard the Netflix Daredevil series is fantastic, but have not had the chance to check it out yet.

I love all the serialized shows, but it's nearly impossible to just watch a random episode. It's like when the X-Files got into that good alien/bad alien subplot. I kept wishing for those great, "stand alone" episodes to come back.
