I just completed my tribute to this film and would like to share these figures with you. The Monsters are from Sideshow toys and they are 1/6 scale. I commissioned the head sculpts and paint and paint work for Bud and Lou but the rest of the props and the costumes for A&C were done by me.

I hope you like them.

And you can find more photos here:

Those are lovely. What a great night to share those with us. Welcome to the UMA!

Thanks for the welcome Mike and John. I figured this was the perfect day to join and the the perfect day to share my figures with the people on this board.

I plan on taking some more pics in the future. I think I will try to recreate the publicity stills from the film with these figures.

Thanks for looking and thanks for the kind words!

That would be cool!

Welcome to the UMA. Great set. I have the Sideshow monsters, but I would love to add the Abbott & Costello figures to my collection. Great display.

Hehe! It's turned out nice again! (as said by George Formby)

Herr Hussmann

Great stuff- the likeness on Lou Costello is very good, much better than some other kits on this subject.

jungle jom

Thanks for looking , guys!

You're right Hussman, most of the sculpts of Lou that are out there really have very little resemblance to Mr. Costello for some reason.

Here are some close ups of the heads...

Mord

These are dead on. Great job on the clothes & props, too.

jungle jom

Thanks Mord!

It was a lot of fun to put together, and it was the first time I ever worked on custom figures. I only wish I was talented enough to do the heads myself also. Luckily I found two talented artists to do the head sculpts and paintwork. I think that the sculptor may even have some extra Bud and Lou heads left.

Mord

I think those would definitely sell if he posted them in the "Monsters for Sale" section here. We have a lot of talented modelers & customizers at the UMA (myself excluded).

Here is another shot of the boys...

SO So awesome!!!!!!!  I Have been wanting to tackle this for years and just never had the time!!!

If you want one "critique" its that you need to get the Monsters faces repainted so they look as good as A & C do!  :)

At least hit them with some clear Matte varnish!  Those old sideshow figures are shiny!!  :)
