Those 1962 Topps Foldees are tough! I don't have any.

There's a half dozen of them on ebay with BIN prices of $10-12.

Those are very nice!  :)

A question for HH...if you could only get ONE Hammer card set (only considering quality & selection, not price or collectability), which one would you chose?

Probably the Hammer Horror Series 1 (Strictly Ink, 2008). It's really close between all six of the Hammer Horror sets starting with the 1995 set from Cornerstone. The 2008 set edges them out for me because of the great Autograph Cards and SOME of the Sketch Cards (some of them suck). That base set is still available and very affordable, but in a few years it won't be.

BTW, I purchased several more Hammer Horror Autograph Cards for the 2008 and 2010 sets. When the last of them get here I'll try to post. That will give me 9 of the 10 auto cards from the 2008 set, and I think 9 of the 13 auto cards from 2010 set. I'm missing the Dave Prowse cards from both sets. He signed like 100 or less and they are pricey. I'll try to eventually get all of those but it'll take awhile.

I've got lots more monster trading cards to post when I ever get to it. Been spending all my UMA time posting that playset stuff.

I had no idea you were getting so close to finishing up on the autograph chases. Congratulations, pal, that's quite an achievement.

Cornerstone followed up its first Hammer Horror set with a second series of 81 cards plus an unnumbered checklist in 1996. Here are scans of three sheets from this second series:

P.S. Does anyone have a spare card #82 from this set? Mine somehow acquired a slight corner ding so I want to replace it.

Thanks, bro. Those last few are gonna be a right beyotch, but I'm committed (and probably should be  ;D), and I'll eventually get 'em.

Those octagonal dino cards are very cool. I have some square perforated cards that survived the toybox wars of the '60s that have similar images. I'll dig those out and post them.

I have two binders full of dino trading card sets that I was going to post along with the rest of my monster sets before I got sidetracked with the playset postings. I'll eventually get to them. All in good time I suppose.

Dinocardz (Dinocardz, 1992) is an 80 card set with illustrations by Dave Marrs on the fronts and facts on the backs. Scans of my first 9 follow.

Looks like some of the info is already generally understood to have changed. These cards claim Spinosaurus to have been a little smaller than Tyrannosaurus which is now believed to be reversed. Our "facts" about dinosaurs change all the time. Anyway, it's a cool card set with good illustrations.

They were enclosed under the cap of these jars (not mine unfortunately):

York was following up on the success of the similar Hockey card promotion from the winter months. Here's a scan of some of those 1961-62 York Hockey cards:

Here's a good article about Spinosaurus:

And of course just because they say the previous fellows were mistaken does not mean that the present day scientists are correct and the previous fellows were wrong. They're now telling us that the plesiosaur was not a dinosaur! Excuse me, fellows. The plesiosaurs haven't changed. It's you fellows who have altered your "definition" of a dinosaur to exclude the plesiosaur. But guess what? If your newfangled definition flies in the face of the standard usage of the term, it's your definition that's incorrect fellows, not the standard usage.

I've had one problem after another scanning my Lady Death and other cards in the last couple of weeks. Somehow the resolution level of my scans had defaulted down to low. I blame it on the technician from Staples who was resolving another issue. After I figured out how to enhance the resolution of my scans, I decided scanning my cards within their sheets would be good enough and a lot easier. My scanner, however, decided to break the nine cards on the sheet down to nine separate images or else a group of six plus a group of three some, but not all, of the time! Arrrgggghhhh!!!

Here anyway are front and back scans of two Lady Death promo cards to preview the scans I hope to be ready to post in a few days:
