They must have printed a dinosaur-crapload of them back in '88.

I believe it! Even after Jurassic Park came out you couldn't give 'em away!

Not really trading cards, but here are some items included in the binder I received when I joined the Bernie Wrightson Fan Club in 2003. Wrightson signed the large print.

Love Wrightson's b/w art the best! Especially the Frankenstein stuff!

I totally agree. Bernie's use of shadow is a thing of beauty.

Thanks for nudging me into continuing to post in this thread, Mike. It's been fun, with much more monster card goodness to follow.  :)

The Sanjulian Collection (FPG, 1994) features the work of another classic Warren cover artist. 90 cards with 5 Metallic Storm chase cards. The posters Sanjulian did of Uncle Creepy and Cousin Eerie are some of the best versions of those characters ever.

It's just a fancy name for a metal foil chase card. Usually they are silver color but sometimes gold.

BTW, I'm getting the chase cards I was missing for these sets off eBay since they're so cheap these days. As they arrive I'll post them. I used to drool over these things back in the day but gave up on completing many of the chase card sets because they were so expensive and they were cranking out so many card sets back in the '90s (too much to keep up with). They are a lot more reasonably priced now, and I can actually find them easily since we have eBay now. Back then you just had to keep checking comic book stores and conventions, or hope they would show up in adzines like Comics Buyers Guide and Toy Shop. It's a lot easier (and cheaper) now.

Classic Toys Trading Cards (1993) is a fun 66 card set. I'm posting the monster related ones along with a little sci-fi and Sea Monkeys...because so many of us ordered those when we were kids.  ;D

Someone should do trading cards like this currently. There could be a set for Classic Monster Toy Figures, Classic Monster Models, Classic Monster Magazines, etc. Sensing a theme here?
