Great films, Geezer. I have all of those two. Stay away from "The First Purge. Its the worst in the series, by far.

That's a shame, I thought that was going to be a pretty strong idea for a movie.  Paranoia and tension ramping up as people start to realize that this is actually going to be something people are going to do, instead of the sane thing, which would just be to stay inside.  It could have been the best of them with a good script.

Well put. I was really expecting a much more compelling origin story. There are far too many cliches and stereotypes to be taken seriously or enjoyed.

In this original form, it actually is. When it was released on DVD years ago, it was an edited mess. However, in this format, it has been restored to the original European film version. I found it pretty enjoyable and the Eurobabes in this are a delight for the eyes. This is an Amando De Ossorio film, a few years before his BLIND DEAD series.
