Found The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: Gruesome Edition (2006) for 4 bucks at Slackers; an easy decision to upgrade from the old MGM release (2000) which only had the trailer as a bonus feature.  This edition is uncut, has deleted scenes, a couple cool commentaries and a 92min documentary plus a superior transfer.

I hope you have better luck than I did with The Bloodthirsty Trilogy BD, geezer. The one I received from Amazon disc 1 wouldn't even load. It had a physical nick in the edge of the disc. I returned it today. Amazon is sending a replacement. Maybe I'll finally get to watch these things at some point. I wonder if this was just a fluke, or does Arrow have a problem with quality control.

That sucks! My set was perfect and I loved the films (all were a first time view).

I received the replacement Bloodthirsty Trilogy BD set today and both discs load at least, so it appears to be new and undamaged. The one I returned didn't really look new/undamaged because there were nasty looking fingerprints on the sleeve, and it could have been previously opened and shrink-wrapped again with the cheap wrap.  I've run into this before with Amazon, especially with books. I don't know if they occasionally send out damaged goods and hope customers won't complain or if it was just a mistake or what. Amazon is so huge with so many employees it's hard to tell. I've had to return more than one book to Amazon due to excessive wear (and not just shipping damage). To classify some of those books as "New" was pathetic. Anyway, I hardly ever order books from Amazon anymore after so many problems. At least they eventually make good on a damaged item with replacement or refund. It's just a hassle having to wait to eventually get something you've already paid for. I've had less trouble with eBay sellers. Also, Diabolik DVD provides excellent customer service and I've never had a problem with them. They even ship in rigid protection so the case arrives undamaged whereas Amazon usually sends one or two DVD/BDs in a bubble envelope. If it's something more important to me like one of the Naschy Collections I pay the higher price and order from Diabolik, but for most movies or sets I look for the best price which is usually Amazon or eBay.

Anyone else had a lot of trouble with Amazon purchases?
