Nice.

Dude, when you get the chance you should pick up Werewolf Shadow (1971) on DVD from BCI. It's the original uncut Spanish version and it's beautiful. I have the 2-pack (both in the same case) with Curse Of The Devil and it also has the chopped up US cut Werewolf Vs. The Vampire Woman as well as some other good special features and nice sharp video quality.

These DVDs are OOP and might be a little pricey now but are well worth it. That's my go-to double feature when I crave some classic Naschy.  ;)

Thanks Horrorhunter. I'll check those out. That set looks pretty sick. Speaking of Naschy, it bums me out that I can't find "Frankenstein's Bloody Terror" at a reasonable price.

Basically I have a big 3 of dvds I'm after but are too cost prohibitive: "Frankenstein's Bloody Terror," "Godzilla versus Mechagodzilla," and "The Devil Rides Out."

I had no idea those had gotten so expensive. I bought all that stuff when it first came out years ago. I bought Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla in the 3-pack with Son Of Godzilla and Tokyo SOS. I bought The Devil Rides Out in the Anchor Bay double feature with Rasputin, The Mad Monk. And, I was ecstatic when I found that copy of Frankenstein's Bloody Terror at Best Buy those years ago. "Wow, finally the first Naschy Daninsky, Mark Of The Wolfman", albeit Sam-Shermaned-up a bit. I used to visit Best Buy and Media Play 2 or 3 times a week looking for monsters on DVD, and VHS before that.

I was watching Video Nasties last night and on one of the little intros before a trailer Kim Newman was mentioning how expensive some of the old VHS releases had gotten. I don't even collect VHS, having switched totally to DVD and Blu, but I still have all of mine from before as well as three more boxes of them that were dumped on me cheap by a friend who had to move. I need to check some of those on Amazon and see if any of that stuff has any value. I just have no desire to collect VHS at all. I think it's a poor medium and I've lost some good video thanks to tapes degrading or breaking. Those old ones in SLP are the worst.

I just ordered Devil Rides out/Mad Monk double feature on Ebay for $35.99. That's not bad considering you get two films.

Mord

Two great films at that.(Rasputin is very underrated).

The semester is almost over so I'm still loading up for the summer:

Karloff and Lugosi Horror Classics (4 movie set, but I really want "The Walking Dead" and "Frankenstein 1970")
House of Horrors
The Day the World Ended/She Creature
Icons of Sci-Fi: Toho Collection
Godzilla 2000
Frankenstein vs The Mummy

Wormwood

Anyone have the Picture of Dorian Gray blu and can confirm that the audio quality is better than the DVD (or at least a bit louder?)
Recent Horrors (out of 5 *'s):

The Witch - **1/2
Alien - *****
The Invisible Man - *****

Absolutely worth picking up this blu Ray from Warner Archive.  The picture (1080p) and sound (DTS-HD) are fabulous.

"Premature Burial" (1962) finally available on Blu-ray. Mine arrived yesterday---pretty psyched.
