Anyone pick this up yet? It would be a triple dip for me and I was wondering if it was really worth the upgrade--compared to the Dark Sky DVD, anyways.

I've heard a few complaints from Blu-ray people that it robs the film of it's grittiness. That Dark Sky DVD was as perfect as you could get without over-sanitizing it, imo. I've never heard a single complaint about that one.

I just received it, and haven't watched it yet, but if you don't have a 4k set I wouldn't buy it.

Poltergeist blu-ray.  One disc version doesn't have a lot of extras but the film itself looks very very nice, and that's mainly what I was interested in...
Beautiful moving, shifting colors!

Picked up Godzilla 2014 blue-ray at Target. Plus, they had "American Psycho" blue-ray for $5! I can't think of a better bargain...Love that film.

I'm a big fan of "American Psycho" as well (saw it in the theater when it first came out). Christian Bale's best role, imo.

Yeah American Psycho is great---one of my fav horror films in last 20 yrs. The book is excellent too. I think about our discussion in another thread: American Psycho is not a pleasant story and there are gory moments, but the story is so well written and the character so compelling that the over the top violence actually syncs well with overall film. I don't see that with a lot of these slaughter-porn flicks that Rob Zombie and others put out these days.

I love them all, especially The Skull. You can't beat Peter Cushing, and he's in all four. If you like classic Hammer, you'll like Amicus.

Got this baby on the way. I had Hands Of The Ripper on a boot, but knowing how great these Synapse combos are I had to bite. I have the Synapse combos for Vampire Circus and Twins Of Evil and they are very impressive with beautiful transfers and excellent special features. Can't wait.

ALWAYS MONSTERING...
