Just picked up the three Quatermass movies on Blu-Ray from Creepy Classic's store.  Haven't seen the movies yet, so I'm very excited to dig into hem.

Just picked up the three Quartermass movies on Blu-Ray from Creepy Classic's store.  Haven't seen the movies yet, so I'm very excited to dig into them. 

You've never seen Quartermass and the Pit?

I think you are in for a treat.

"Pit" is a top 10 Hammer film, IMO.

I actually on found out about the movies about three years ago from some friends at Monster Bash.  It's taken me this long to get the DVD's, but I have yet to watch them.  I keep hearing that they are fantastic.

I keep hearing that they are fantastic.

They are based on Nigel Kneale's television serials. Those are quite good, too, though only the first 2 (of 6) episodes of the first serial still exist.

INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1956) on Blu Ray
DESTINATION MOON on DVD from eBay
THE EXORICIST on Blu Ray from eBay - this is one of the releases with the original theatrical and director cut versions.  I haven't seen the original version in a long time. I already had the director's cut on DVD. I like some of the things in the director's cut, but I think the spiderwalk comes too early. It will be interesting to see the original again.

Now, when the heck is somebody releasing a BD of "Shrinking Man"? 

That's the only one from the Best Buys set of Universal sci-fi that has not had a U.S. BLU-Ray release.

There is one from Spain, but without any extras.
