Yes, that's right.

INCORRECT!
But now he's saying that my answer was incorrect. According to this Google image that's what it's from. I have that film on a boot. I'm going to check this out. I'll get back to you, Anton.

Okay, I checked it out and it is in It Came From Hollywood (1982) at the 9:08 mark. It was in A*P*E (1976) first, but it was in the film I gave as my answer. Are we splitting hairs to the point that we only accept answers for the first appearance of the shot in question? It's uncommon that scenes are repeated in subsequent films, but are we saying that you have to name the first appearance of the shot in question? I just want us to get the rules straight here.

"It Came From Hollywood" was a clips movie. It may have had clips from this movie, but that's not the title of this movie.

Well, yeah!   Clips movies don't count. It' not a matter of it being the same movie under a different title. Would "Famous Monsters of Filmland" be an acceptable answer?

You're reaching. FM is a magazine, not a film.

Well, is A*P*E (1976) correct or not?

You did post the correct title in your last post, so, your turn.

APE (aka A*P*E 1976)

We have to remember that this trivial little game is all about having fun. This level of nitpicking contention doesn't lend itself to much of what I'd call fun.

You were correct, Anton. Proceed.

FM is a magazine, not a film.

I retract my comment about FM.

I'll leave it to the majority. Should the title of a clips film be the same as the movie you post a photo from. In other words, if you post a photo from "The Wizard of Oz" and I guess "It Came From Hollywood" will you consider my answer correct?

If a special effects shot of, say, a rocket ship taking off becomes stock footage and is used as part of the story in 3 or 4 films - then any one of those films could be considered a valid answer for a still of said effect.

If a clip of that effect is used in a documentary on sci-fi in general, or a collection of examples of film over the years - that should not be thought of as a correct answer.

My opinion.  Think of it what you will - or disregard it all together.
