That is what throws me.  I remember him being in many movies - but I can't remember seing him very often.

You can hear him in many '50s sci-fi trailers and some voice work in the movies (Time Machine "talking rings"). Wasn't on screen all that much, though. The 2 movies here, plus The Thing and WOTW. Not much else.

Wasn't he in the one your avatar is from?

Not in "Creature with the Atom Brain".

I remembered him in Thing - but not as announcer.

Remembered his voice in WOTW - but that is in color.

No. He was one of the scientists.

He did the voiceover in the pre-title sequence (" . . nations combined to fight against nations!"), but also appeared onscreen in the "bomb drop" scenes, talking into a microphone.

His voice was so pervasive and instantly recognizable that I have false memories of "seeing" him in most 50's sci-fi movies that had narration.

My number 1 favorite voice - Rod Serling being number 2.

The Last Starfighter

Yeah.

This is what the marshmallow head character looks like when he is fully formed.  He is a replicant that took his head off for a little tweaking.

"You're dreaming, Louis.  Go back to sleep."

Wow, I don't even remember that part!

Yeah.  It took the place of the older brother while he was away Starfighting.  It was intended to act as a decoy for the alien that was trying to kill the genuine article.

Remember, the replicant had a little trouble trying to court the guy's girlfriend?

Anywho...  Here is something to keep us going:
