Freezing - It is a domestic  production in all respects.

Well, if it's as American as all that, my first shot would be Santa Clause Conquers the Martians. But that's Winter Cold.

so here it is: Zontar the Thing from Venus

Nope.  Aside from one or two people from Hollywood it was filmed using all local actors - in Texas.

OK, you get a kewpie doll:

Looks like it was used in at least 2 films.

"Attack of the Eye Creatures", 1965 - The title I was fishing for.

and

"Zontar: The Thing From Venus", 1966.

Both movies were filmed in Dallas, Texas.

If you want to see the REAL "Zontar," check this out (4:00 into it). Better flying saucer. Better aliens (cabbages that attach to the back of the neck"

Well, that makes sense. They were both Larry Buchanan movies and he would definitely do what's cheapest!

The quoted budget on "Eye Creatures" was $40,000.00.  God only knows what he did with the other $39,000.00!

Lemme try one. It's my 1st, so be gentle with the guesses.
This is a common enough scene in the genre, but who are they shooting at?
