I really recommend it to anyone who has only ever seen the TV series.  Much more adult than the TV version, and although it has a lot of humor, it takes itself very seriously.

nope, not the Bat people, and yes that movie sucked. When I was about 14 I bought it on VHS back when video tapes were kept in a locked cabinet at K Mart(this was around 1985). I had never heard of the movie and he box looked SO cool! Imagine my disappointment at watching the film! LOL
