Not as difficult as I thought then! This is a very weird movie that was a co-production between Toho and Tsuburaya Productions(Ultraman) released on a double bill with Godzilla vs Gigan. The weird aspect of the plot comes from the fact that Daigoro, the hippo looking monster and "good guy" of the movie suffers from constipation or inability to pee. He even has his own giant toilet on the island the government relocated him too, and you can tell it hasn't been used because their are cobwebs on the doors. An interesting sidenote about this film is that Toho and Tsuburaya planned a followup co-production that would have starred Godzilla-Godzilla vs Red Moon in which the monster suits from this film would have been redressed as the new monsters for that film.

I've never actually seen this flick but I've read about it. I'm a big Toho fan and try to accumulate as much knowledge as possible on all things Monster. However, you are the undisputed UMA Kaiju expert, RK.  ;) As Mord says, I'm more the '70s Eurohorror vampire/demon/weird stuff with the naughty bits guy.

BTW, was Daigoro made from parts of RedKing (not you, the Kaiju )? They resemble one another.

You said you wanted to find one thing we disagree about...there you have it. Not a Toho fan at all (though, not Star Wars dislike level).

Daigoro just has a similar corrugated body type as Red King, although in the movie Daigoro's mother is shown and she looks like like they used a Red King suit and added a new head and breasts.
