Hey! I'm Antonia Carlotta and my great great uncle was Carl Laemmle who founded Universal Studios. I have a web series called Universally Me where I post about Universal's history - a few weeks ago I posted my interview with my Great Aunt Carla Laemmle who is 104. My newest episode - just in time for Monsterpalooza - is an intro to all the Universal Monsters! Finally put up part 2 of Universally Me about the Universal Monsters! In the last episode I talked about who they were, in this episode I talk about why they're so important!

My favorite part of this episode is at 2:20 when I put a screenshot from the new Maleficent trailer next to a screenshot of the original Dracula. They're nearly identical!

I'd be curious to know what your opinion is about the 2004 Van Helsing film or if you have comments about it posted somewhere. I myself didn't care for it at all, but I owe it a debt since it seemed to spark a renewed interest in the Universals, such as the "Legacy" DVD boxed sets that came out at the same time.
