Enesco monster lights
« on: March 09, 2014, 01:28:09 AM »
Hi.  Does anyone have information on the Enesco monster light series.  From the way it seems, 3 different figures were made. From my understanding, they're pretty scarce items.  I have yet to see any good info on them, let alone even seeing them for sale anywhere.

Was this one of them?

He is bisque ceramic and 9 in. tall.  The switch in in the cord.

I think they are very rare.  I've been searching for a Frankenstein them for years with no luck.  I am not aware of any other Enesco figures.

Enesco also made this plug-in wall night light:

He is 5½ in. tall and also made of bisque.

Holy Soaky.

There is also a similar Dracula/Hyde type character with a cane and top hat night light, and a Morticia/Vampira-ish gal.

Hi.  Really glad for the info here,  these just have to be super rare, never knew there was a plug-in wall light either.

This 1992 Hamilton Gifts ceramic night light is pretty nice.  There are not so rare.

The head about 7 in. tall.

These Frankenstein night lights might not be so rare, but, in my opinion, they are really cool!  I have several of them, and, if these would have been around when I was a kid in the early 60's, I surely would have "cleaned my room", and ate all my vegatables" every day to get one!!

UMA member tadhays is listing his collection in our Monsters For Sale pages.  He wants to sell his collection as a whole and not piecemeal.

But I happened to spot this Enesco Lamp among his collection:

First one of these I have ever seen.

What other lamps were made by Enesco?

These lights (Frankenstein, Dracula, "Morticia") are 1960s. One of mine has its original ancient Enesco sticker still on it, which almost looks 1950s! Plus, you can date it by the plug.

The Frank head night lite shown is MUCH more recent- you can see that by the design alone.

I would sell the Draula light for $600 if interested. I think that's a fair price. I accept Paypal or I can post on Ebay.
Thanks-

I've chatted with some people and given the nature of the material, they are very fragile and hard to come bye. Thanks

My sister gave me the “Morticia” style Lamp as a gift a few years ago. She bought it at an estate sale for under $20 bucks. It’s one of my most prized possessions . I thought I’d post it here for others to see. It’s so cool to see the others lamps in this line.
I can’t figure out how to upload photos on here though

Pretty sure I've seen that one, before. It's, no doubt, worth many times what your sister paid for it!

That’s her! 😁.  She looks awesome when lit up. Her eyes especially. I never leave her on or plugged in for more then a few minutes though. With the plug being so old and she gets incredibly hot to the touch after just a few minutes. 😂
