How long is this typically taking to get?  Maybe I'm just impatient (realizing it's coming from Asia), but I feel like it's taking forever haha.

I'm sure after the long wait it will arrive in shambles.  If it wasn't for bad luck..

The original stood on a flat rock that looks like it was made for it, as the pins on his feet fit into holes in the rock.

If by 2nd release you mean this current one, it has additional fins on the arms and the glowing eyeballs.

Mike - I thought there was a 2nd release of the initial style in the 1990s. Is this figure the same as those...or am I getting the history mixed up?

Sure, but the Creature will still be pre-mashed.

There was the one with the fin on his chest and the black one. I think those both came in the original packaging? Then there was the one with the freaky horned head, made by Geisler(sp). Not sure the release dates for any of those. I would think the first two would have been nearer the 1971 date, though.

I have always kicked myself for not saving the original one I had. Even though I just started a new job, I went ahead and spent money that I should not be spending and ordered one. Hope I get lucky and it is in good condition. Should receive mine about the 2nd or the 8th of April.

Yeah I just got a shipping notification on the 18th even though I was told it was shipped on the 8th, maybe the delay is due to them purchasing better shipping materials

Have we considered these are possibly a hoard of old factory rejects/originally returned figures? Most appear to have been opened, the backward hands, etc... Just sayin'.

Still waiting for mine to arrive.  I'm really excited to see it.  I won't mind if some of the nails are broken off...or if he arrives in a flimsy, crumply envelope...

None of these were ever sold, till recently, otherwise at least one of them would have shown up on the collector's market in the last 15 years. They were just now opened to add extra packing/protection after complaints.
