The Geisler isn't being sold by "1999" warehouse seller.

The head looks like a new (crude) sculpt with some Creature "features". The hands could be original, but with some modifications. (The hands don't look so much glued on as melted on.)

Love the gold horns & pug nose. What could possibly be next?

Now someone on eBay is selling a 1974 Creature from the Black Lagoon Aquarium figure from a company called Geisler. It's still in the package. It looks like a vintage Penn Plax knock-off! I've never seen one before, but the seller is asking $599.

This popped up on my feed yesterday.  I was shocked to see it.  I have no idea what in the world it is.

Kreaturekid should know if this thing is legit or a scam.

It looks like a legitimate, vintage knockoff. It looks like somebody back in the early 1970s took the Penn Plax Creature mold and sculpted a new face with horns (so they wouldn't get sued by Universal!). It's pretty cool, but it's hardly six hundred bucks cool. Still, I've never seen one before. It's a unique knockoff of a treasured collectible.

This is legit. It is a known item that has popped up before. Nothing mysterious about it. Just a vintage knockoff of a knockoff. Of interest to the hardcore Creature completist, or knockoff enthusiast. I don't know if it's "worth" $599. I'm thinking $125 might be more like it, because of the funky head, missing claws and trashed packaged.

It may be legit, but it's ugly.  And that's not necessarily a bad thing.

...it's not necessarily a good thing, either.
